i have been a student for a long time, with some gaps. after high school, i went for one year to Carnegie-Mellon university, and then a few years at the university of new mexico. after a long gap, after i had moved to boston, i went to the university of massachusetts boston, and earned my bachelor's degree in 1999 with a double major in philosophy and classics.
i was awarded my m.a. in philosophy by the university of california, Irvine, in march, 2003. in june, 2007, i received my ph.d., with a thesis entitled Peter Abelard's conception of the good.
